Confirm freshness with metadata, not a label
A fresh-build page should show the version identifier, update date, Android requirement, package information and a specific description of what changed. Compare those fields with the downloaded APK. The word “latest” in a title or button is not enough to establish when the file was produced or who signed it.
If Android accepts the file as an update, package and signing continuity are consistent with the installed build. If the system reports a conflict, stop and verify the source before uninstalling. Preserve account recovery details and the current version number so the change can be reversed deliberately if necessary.
After updating, review permissions again and test sign-in, history and table exit through a low-risk session. Release notes such as “performance improvements” are too broad to verify; look for observable changes and record any new permission or compatibility requirement.
Do not update during a pending payment, withdrawal review or unresolved account state. A version change can make later diagnosis harder because support must separate the original issue from new software behaviour. Wait for the account state to settle, keep the transaction reference, then update from the intended source.
Record the page URL, displayed version and observation date before acting. That small evidence trail makes later comparison possible and helps separate a file-metadata change from an Android, account or table-rule issue.
